Mary has worked in animal care since childhood with her grandfather, who owned one of Canada’s premier gun dog breeding and training facilities. She owned her first dog, a Labrador retriever named Tuffy, at age 8 and has loved and cared for many dogs since then. Mary, and her partner Mark, breed and train Golden Retrievers under the Tidewater prefix. She lives with 5 Golden Retrievers…and a very bossy cat.
Her interest in keeping working dogs in top condition and preventing injury drove her interest in the rehabilitation and chiropractic modalities. Mary is graduate of Wilfrid Laurier’s business school and she has a keen interest in the business side of the animal care profession. Her job at GRVS as practice manager is to ensure the business runs smoothly so that the veterinary professionals can dedicate their time to caring for our patients and clients.
