Julie completed her undergraduate Biological Science degree at the University of Guelph before finishing her veterinary technology associate degree through Cedar Valley College in Texas. She is now working towards her CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) through the University of Tennessee. Julie worked in Guelph at a busy local practice/emergency clinic for 10 years before joining Dr. Pask at Gilmour Road Veterinary Service to pursue her interest in rehabilitation.
Julie’s interest in canine rehabilitation developed at home with her own dogs over the last few years. She has two Italian Spinones (Brio and Happy) and a late Irish wolfhound, as well as a new, young-but-very-large Irish wolfhound named Pippi. The Spinones currently compete in rally obedience and have earned multiple CARO titles, with Happy also beginning to train in agility.
Julie has a particular interest in canine conditioning and injury prevention and has future plans to complete the Certified Canine Fitness Trainer program. She hopes to assist our clients with senior pet mobility and other conditioning.
Julie lives in Guelph with her husband, two small children, and her three large dogs.
